Micromecc is a partner of BrainHuRo, an Italian project that aims to enable the control of a humanoid robot through thought.

The project is cofounded by the POR CReO Fesr 2007-2013 (Programma Operativo Regionale Competitivitą regionale e occupazione del Fondo europeo di sviluppo regionale) and a consortium composed by other three companies, Liquidweb, Massimi Sistemi and Micromecc and the University of Siena is involved. The project started on January 2013.

The project aims at the development of a technology-based Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) applied to assistive technologies that can enable patients suffering from motor disabilities of various entities, stabilized or progressive as ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) to move a humanoid robot capable of performing simple tasks to help these patients (basic mechanisms of communication, transmission of images and video…).
